I am  a psychotherapist  specializing in individual, couples and family therapy in St. Augustine Fl.

With over 35 years experience , and as a graduate of San Diego State Univ.  specializing in psychodynamic  therapy, I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my  areas of expertise are Hypnosis, EMDR Therapy, Gestalt therapy, and Mindfulness therapy. With 38 years of a personal practice in meditation and yoga I am particularly helpful in helping clients with anxiety disorders achieve greater relaxation and calm. A therapist since 1981, I have worked at Mental Heath Centers, Psychiatric Hospitals, and private practice. .

  I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I  work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I believe we all have the ability to change, no matter what our history or current circumstances. I help people accept and embrace all the different part of themselves without necessarily acting them out. I help people focus on what they want, what stops them from getting what they want, and new ways to get their needs met. Through the use of Gestalt and EMDR therapies I help people heal themselves from the hurts and wounds of the past and with relaxation skills and Hypnosis help them overcome unrealistic fears of the future. With couples I work on not only helping people develop effective communication skills but to help them learn compassionate  listening , to learn to appreciate one another, to honor and accept differences, and  to learn to transform hurt and resentment  into forgiveness.
